Gilmore Chiropractic — Website Privacy Policy & SMS Terms

Gilmore Chiropractic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://www.gilmore-chiro.com and provides chiropractic, chiropractic neurology, acupuncture, and related wellness services at 800 Virginia Ave, Suite 45, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit the website, contact us, or opt in to text messages. It is written to support carrier review of business texting (including AT&T and A2P/10DLC).

This policy is not a substitute for our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs Protected Health Information created or maintained for treatment, payment, and health care operations. Ask the front desk for that Notice when you register.

1. Information we collect

• Website and contact forms: name, phone, email, preferred times, any insurance details you choose to send, and the content of your message.
• Technical data: IP address, browser/device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and similar cookie or analytics data used to run the site.
• SMS: mobile number, name if provided, opt-in/opt-out records, timestamps, and limited delivery data needed to send messages and honor preferences.
• Clinical information collected in the office is handled under HIPAA and the Notice of Privacy Practices.

2. How we use it

• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments
• Send reminders, wait-list notes, office-closure or weather notices, and replies to texts you send us
• Answer questions about visits or billing
• Operate and secure the website
• Meet legal, carrier, and recordkeeping requirements
• Send promotional practice updates only if you separately consent to that type of message

3. SMS / text program (what AT&T needs to see)

What you may get. If you opt in, we may send recurring or one-time texts about appointment reminders, scheduling, check-in/arrival, office delays, and other service messages from this office.

Consent. Texts go only to numbers that opted in (form checkbox, check-in consent, or text confirmation). Consent is not required to receive care. You can always call (772) 466-9575 instead.

Frequency. A few messages per appointment cycle is typical. This is not a high-volume marketing stream.

Rates. Message and data rates may apply.

Carriers. Delivery may go through AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and other U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

STOP / HELP. Reply STOP to cancel; we will confirm and stop texting that number unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for assistance, or call the office.

What we will not put in a regular text. No diagnoses, results, treatment plans, or other sensitive clinical detail in ordinary SMS. Standard SMS is not encrypted. Do not reply with sensitive health information by text.

TCPA / CTIA. Consent is one-to-one for messages from this practice.

4. Sharing — including mobile numbers

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share information only as needed to run messaging/practice software on our behalf, to treat or bill as HIPAA allows, to comply with law or carrier rules, or to protect safety. Vendors who handle PHI sign a Business Associate Agreement when HIPAA requires it.

5. Cookies

The site may use cookies for function, security, and traffic measurement. You can block them in the browser; some features may stop working.

6. Children

The public site is not directed at children under 13. Pediatric patients are registered by a parent or guardian in the office.

7. Retention

Inquiry records and SMS opt-in/opt-out logs are kept as long as needed to provide the service, honor opt-outs, and meet legal and carrier rules. Clinical records follow Florida law and our retention policy.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards for a small practice. No internet or cellular transmission is 100% secure. SMS travels on carrier networks we do not control.

9. Your choices

Opt out of SMS with STOP or by calling the office. Contact-info corrections for website/texting: call us. Medical-record rights (access, amendment, restrictions, accounting of disclosures) are in the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date will change. New consent is obtained when the law requires it.
